If you are asking yourself this question, you haven’t defined your sales style. There is no one-size-fits-all, so here is a quick overview of some of them to help you define your sales style.
Transactional selling is a short-term sales strategy that focuses on making quick sales. In this type of sales model, neither the buyer nor the seller has much interest in developing a long-term relationship.
This type of sale is most common in B2C situations, like e-commerce brands. So, if you sell products – transactional sales are your go-to. Build your strategy around it. It may include an easy check-out, fast shipping, or giving customers everything, they need to decide and act, without hitting any friction points along the way.
2. Solutions selling – the opposite of the transactional approach and focuses on selling outcomes over products.
Your job with solutions selling is to educate your potential clients on how their life will be better once they solve that problem with your help.
To be successful you must focus on building genuine connections and real solutions.
3. Social selling – 75% of B2B buyers are influenced by social media and 84% of senior executives use it to support purchase decisions, so social selling is an effective practice of using brand channels on social media to connect with potential customers and build LONG TERM relationships with potential customers.
It includes:
gradually building a foundation for relationships.
interacting regularly and serving before selling.
social prospecting by joining and participating in groups and connecting with potential customers.
It’s an ideal method for personal brands, expert blogs, or lifestyle products.
